The swamp rats want to leave:

Aware of the extent of partisanship in Washington, Trump’s landslide victory is sending jitters across federal agencies as bureaucrats reflect on the future of their careers. “I think there would probably be an exodus, because federal employees just want to do their jobs. They want to do the job according to law and regulation,” Jacqueline Simon, policy director of the American Federation of Government Employees, told the Hill. These career bureaucrats claim their exit is not a result of playing partisan politics with the previous administration, but that President Trump intends to fill federal positions with political loyalists – as if they’re not political loyalists themselves.
