Blue Collapse

Democrats aren't popular:
The survey found that only 31% of respondents had a favorable opinion of the Democrats, compared to 57% who did not. Interestingly, 15% of Democrat respondents held an unfavorable view of their own party, as did 59% of independents. Women (39%) were more likely to have a favorable view of the Democratic Party than men (22%). “This is the highest percentage of voters having an unfavorable opinion of the Democratic Party since the Quinnipiac University Poll began asking this question,” said the poll’s authors, who have produced the survey since 2008. The GOP fared better once the usual split along party lines was factored out. Independents generally held a more favorable view (36%) of the Republicans than the Democrats, with less than half (48%) holding an unfavorable opinion. Men (48%) were more likely to hold a positive view than women (37%), but the GOP performed better than the Democrats in both demographics. While Democrats are polling at its lowest, the GOP is viewed more favorably than it ever has been.
One party made promises. The other is keeping them.
