Youtube changes its tune:

The change, which came shortly after the inauguration of President Donald Trump, has prompted concern from LGBT advocacy groups, who say it removes clarity around protections for transgender and nonbinary users on the platform, according to the Advocate. In a statement to The Advocate, a YouTube spokesperson downplayed the revision, calling it a routine “copy edit” and claiming that enforcement of hate speech policies remains unchanged. However, the company has not provided a clear explanation for why explicit mention of gender identity was scrubbed, and gender identity is almost the entire identity for leftist radicals in the transgender movement. “The larger implications of YouTube’s actions should concern everyone,” a GLAAD spokesperson told the Advocate. “When a company, or political leaders, decide that certain groups of people are to be seen as less than others — it too often results in real-world harm.”
